DMS

Magnolia for Documents is a Document Management built for the Magnolia Content Management System. Like the Magnolia CMS, its content is driven by the JSR 170 compliant «Jackrabbit» repository.

Magnolia for Documents allows you to upload and manage all sorts of documents. It also offers a comprehensive versioning and search capabilities.

Features

Magnolia for Documents is integrated into the Magnolia Content Management System. This way you benefit from the many exciting features Magnolia has to offer.

• The user interface is browser-based, so no need to install any client software.
• If you are already using the Magnolia WCM, there is no need to learn a new user interface. It is as self-intuitive and easy to use like the Magnolia WCM.
• There is an in-built comprehensive search. Find documents according to «type», «language» and more. You can also add your own properties. Furthermore a DMS Search Paragraph is available for use within your Magnolia Templates.
• Another interesting feature is versioning. Each new upload of the document creates a new version. You can always go back to previous versions to track differences.

Launch the DMS Module

To launch the DMS Module, make sure Magnolia is running.

Start Magnolia AdminCentral (e.g. http://localhost:8080/magnoliaAuthor). Click on the "Documents" item in the left side navigation pane to run the DMS Module.
